Save Your Spot Today!

Eligible UCR and non-UCR students can submit an application right away. Your application will hold your spot in the program (provided open spaces remain.)  A Student Information Packet will be mailed out to you after the first of the year unless we need to contact you regarding eligibility or for additional information. Once you receive the Student Information Packet, please start completing the forms and gathering whatever information is requested. You will also need to obtain a Passport for travel outside of the U.S. If you already have a Passport, check to make sure that it is current and that it will remain current through the length of your stay outside of the U.S. You will be able to pay your non-refundable $300 application fee to your GROWL account or at the campus cashier's office (check made payable to UC Regents) in April. Please return to this page for more information.

Programs have Limited Space

All programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Completing the steps necessary to participate in the Travel Study program will take time and commitment from students. It is recommended that serious applicants submit all forms as soon as possible. Programs may be cancelled due to low enrollment.  If a program is cancelled due to low enrollment, students will receive a full refund (including the deposit.)

If you do not have a current U.S. passport, please go to the related link below to initiate the process to obtain or renew your passport immediately. If you have a foreign passport, please consult with your local embassy for travel restrictions/authorizations.

A single entry VISA to Vietnam, for the purpose of participating in the UCR Travel Study Vietnam program, will be obtained by the program for each participant.  Vietnam program participants must submit their passport to the UCR Summer Sessions Office no later than May 1st to process the VISA through the Vietnamese Embassy in San Francisco.
