Special thanks to Dr. Marina Pianca, UCR's Professor of Spanish in the Hispanic Studies department, for leading the 2006 Summer Travel Study program in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Some of the academic offerings of the program were hosted at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Universidad de las Madres de Plaza de Mayo, as well as many of the city's artistic venues.
Courses: Reel to Real: Latin American Film and Social Change and a Directed Studies class
Excursions: Escuela de Cine to meet filmakers and the new generation of artists, enjoy plays, performances, films, countryside cuisine and rodeo, the tomb of Eva Peron, and many other tours and opportunities to participate in the culture and cultural events highlighting the contrasts and beauty of a unique city and country. Some student independently went to visit the world-famous Iguazu Falls!
